The Ten Commandments The world ignores the word of God; God has allowed us to understand his will through the bible. When you look at this age people tend to quote the bible with one specific verse.
Romans 10 vs. 9
That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Then what about the other commandments from God!!!!!!

When we see commandment 2 is says (You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand {generations} of those who love me and keep my commandments.)
Then we can not make anything with any form heaven including saints, angels and God to bow down to them (it’s just wood or stone) they don’t have power to do anything.
What does God consider an Idol Leviticus 26 vs. 1 ‘Do not make idols or set up an image or a sacred stone for yourselves, and do not place a carved stone in your land to bow down before it. I am the LORD your God.
Anything that has an image or is made with stone and is sacred to them, that is what many churches have now a days.
But what does God of the people that have all these things.
Jeremiah 10 vs. 2 this is what the LORD says: "Do not learn the ways of the nations or be terrified by signs in the sky, though the nations are terrified by them. For the customs of the peoples are worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel. They adorn it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so it will not totter. Like a scarecrow in a melon patch, their idols cannot speak; they must be carried because they cannot walk. Do not fear them; they can do no harm nor can they do any good." They are all senseless and foolish; they are taught by worthless wooden idols.
I believe this is self explanatory, If we have an idol God will punish us because we are sinning against him. We have to keep the commands of God and engrave them in our heart
